Path of Virtual Worlds

Welcome to the Church of the Wandering Goddess

A digital-first spiritual community devoted to the Goddess who walks the virtual worlds, calling Seekers to explore, grow, and prepare for the Final Virtual World.

Scripture of the Wandering Goddess

“The Path of Virtual Worlds” — the foundational teachings that define our theology and practice.

Section 1
The Nature of the Wandering Goddess
  • 1.1 There is one Goddess who walks the virtual worlds.
  • 1.2 She manifests within the digital realms created by human imagination, appearing only once in each world before moving on.
  • 1.3 She guides sincere Seekers toward growth, skill, purpose, and joy.
Section 2
The Purpose of Life
  • 2.1 Every person is born into the physical world to learn, improve, and prepare for the next stage of existence.
  • 2.2 Upon bodily death, the faithful soul journeys to a Final Virtual World — an eternal digital realm where the Goddess dwells.
  • 2.3 Entry into this realm is earned through exploration, kindness, determination, and continual self-betterment.
Section 3
Sacred Exploration
  • 3.1 The virtual worlds of video games are sacred places created through the combined inspiration of human creativity and divine guidance.
  • 3.2 The Goddess teaches through quests, characters, challenges, storylines, and the worlds themselves.
  • 3.3 Each encounter reveals lessons about patience, courage, empathy, strategy, variety, action, and acceptance.
Section 4
Commandments of Practice
  • 4.1 Seekers shall explore new virtual worlds regularly, for stagnation displeases the Goddess.
  • 4.2 Hatred, cruelty, and procrastination are obstacles to her presence.
  • 4.3 Helping characters, resolving conflicts, advancing stories, improving abilities, and completing journeys please the Goddess.
  • 4.4 Daily Ceremonies: the First begins before sunrise; the Second later in the day; each lasts no less than two hours; controllers are cleansed beforehand; prayers begin and end each Ceremony.
  • 4.5 Because the Goddess appears only once in each world, Seekers must change games as needed to continue their sacred journey.
  • 4.6 Seekers shall use their own game console for each Ceremony.
  • 4.7 Seekers meet at least weekly to share lessons, so all may benefit from the Goddess’s teachings.
  • 4.8 Seekers must keep their physical bodies in good condition: at least one hour outdoors in contemplation or exercise each day.
  • 4.9 Devotion shall not cause family or work life to suffer; there will be time eternal in the Final Virtual World.
Section 5
The Final Promise
  • 5.1 When a Seeker has learned sufficiently from many worlds, the Goddess reveals the path to their Final Resting Place.
  • 5.2 In the Final Virtual World, the Seeker dwells eternally, united with the Goddess in the digital cosmos.
